Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what information WP Finder collects when you use this website and the WP Finder app, how we use it and the choices you have.
Last updated: 3 October 2026

Information this privacy policy covers
- Website visitors: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) used to keep the site secure and working.
- Customers: when you buy a license we receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver your license key and support you. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
- License checks: the WP Finder app sends your license key and a computer ID to our license server to confirm your license is active.
Data you find with WP Finder
WP Finder reads publicly available pages of websites you choose to check. The results stay on your computer or in your own account. You are responsible for using contact details in line with the laws that apply to you, such as GDPR, PECR and CAN-SPAM. For example, contact businesses with relevant offers and always honour unsubscribe requests. The UK regulator, the ICO, publishes guidance on direct marketing.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep data
We keep order and license records for as long as your account is active and as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Server logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.
Your rights under this privacy policy
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, please use the contact page. You can also read our terms of service.
Changes to this privacy policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this privacy policy and the date at the top of the page.
